A 17th-century farmstead embraced by the resplendent light of Salento and caressed by the delicate breezes of two seas.
The Estate is located within the Primitivo di Manduria DOC appellation, one of the most well-suited terroirs in Italy for quality viticulture. Within a single enclosure, it houses an ancient 17th-century Farmhouse, restored with respect for the environment and the original architecture, and a contemporary winery designed in accordance with the most up-to-date principles of eco-friendly architecture.
The Estate is located within the Primitivo di Manduria DOC appellation, one of the most well-suited terroirs for quality viticulture in Italy.
In its quest for absolute quality, the Zonin family has started a series of trials and experiments in order to achieve accurate clonal selection and evaluate the best possible relationship between the vine and the soil.
In addition to Primitivo, the vineyards of Masseria Altemura also host other autochthonous varieties such as Fiano, an ancient vine whose success dates back to the time of Frederick II of Swabia, and Negroamaro and Aglianico.
The estate demonstrates its commitment to the environment via a shrewd policy that combines contemporary technology and the careful rekindling of local traditions.
The Estate makes use of the most modern viticultural and oenological techniques, without ever losing sight of the ethical principles of respect for nature. With a view to a sustainable vision, particular attention is paid to the management and optimization of resources
